Bull.
British revenge thriller. Very violent and very gory. Story is a bit weak but was enjoyable never the less.

Ad Astra.
I can't believe the amount of times I have trawled through Netflix desperately looking for something I might like to watch...and missed this so many times.
Best Sci Fi ever, certainly not but an acceptable storyline, quite nice scenes / effects, rather 2001 visually at times ...I enjoyed it.
I like the way he is unwittingly more like his father than he ever knew, driven, single minded to the exclusion of all else....I rather thought he might join his father in whatever quest he was working on, it was one of those moments that could have gone either way.
I love Sci fi, no regrets watching this one.

Man Of Steel, with SWMBO, a few nights ago
I've seen it before, but it's an enjoyable film

She didn't notice it was Kevin Costner, nor Russell Crowe
Her usual habit of asking questions constantly was at full power though .... "Who, why, what", etc.....
(oddly, if I do that during Vera, George Gently, or something, I'm glared at...............)

She did quiet up a bit, during Cavills shirtless scenes

Not last night, but just come out of the cinema.
Went to see Blue Beetle with Jnr.
Not a fan of Marvel and DC but this was one of the better ones.
Good entertainment, Jnr thought it was brilliant. His score.. 8.5/10

Not last night ,but tonight I watched Vanilla Sky.
Not being the brightest bulb in the pack and a few to many glasses of wine I struggled to understand what the hell was going on.I replayed a few scenes to understand it.
I must admit I quite enjoyed it, very thought provoking.
Time for some light hearted easy going Only fools and horses now I thinks 🥴

The Man Who Knew Too Much. Hitchcock thriller with James Stewart and Doris Day. Bernard Miles as the baddie. Endearingly clunky plot.

Goodies won, baddies lost. Doris Day sang Que Sera Sera

Life. A decent cast and great production pitched against a lazy, clichéd and implausible script. It’s an Alien/Prometheus mashup, in the very worst way. Stupid characters making stupid decisions in what should be the most controlled location conceivable. And a ‘twist’ at the end that goes completely against what you had already been shown. 2/10.

Godfather one and two...yes I've seen them numerous times but watched them again !
Why ?
You've seen a film numerous times, even have it on TV or can stream it whenever you like. But when it's on TV you watch it again ! 😁

Frequently asked questions about time travel (on BBC listen against)

A sci-fi comedy involving 3 lads who come across a rift in time in the gents of their local pub. An incredibly low budget film, which could well have been done as a stage play as nearly all the action occurs in the same few rooms. Similar style as one of the Frost/Pegg films, but more crudely done. It goes to show you can make a very entertaining and clever film for about £50 if you have sufficient wit and panache.

What happened Miss Simone?
A documentary about Nina Simone, combining films of performances, interviews with Nina herself, family members and musicians. Superbly put together so it plays and looks like a movie rather than a documentary. Covers her musical career, her big involvement in the Civil Rights movement, her own troubles and decline, and later revival of her career in France
Really good for anyone remotely interested in her music, and as a story of those times

Half of Full Metal Jacket. I used to catch this on TV a lot after it had started so I've see the war half a lot but the training in boot camp not so much.
