Not having seen the Descent, I have no idea I'm afraid.

It's a cracker. The sequel, less so.

Revenge.
Really hot Italian supermodel accompanies creepy married boyfriend to remote desert hunting lodge in middle of nowhere. Creepy man's creepy old hunting buddies show up. Bad thing happen and then worse. Things go so stupidly bad I had to stop watching.

Starcrash (1978)

A ropey sc fi staring a young David Hasslehoff and Christopher Plummer, here's the plot -

Outlaw smugglers Stella Star and Akton manage to pick up a castaway while running from the authorities, who turns out to be the only survivor from a secret mission to destroy a mysterious superweapon designed by the evil Count Zarth Arn. The smugglers are soon recruited by the Emperor of the Galaxy to complete the mission, as well as to rescue the Emperor's son, who has gone missing.

The only thing that saves it is the lovely Caroline Munro prancing round in a range of very skimpy outfits.

Blitz.

On the one hand a slightly formulaic Stafe slap 'em about while talking in a deep voice movie. However, a very good plot, some beautifully dry humour with the portrayal of senior police officers, a quietly understated performance from Paddy Considine, and a very clever plot twist at the end lift this into surprisingly watchable territory.

7/10 - a decent thriller with a stylistic twist.

Is that the one with Jason Statham as a maverick cop that could be loosely described as a British version of Dirty Harry?

The Mummy . 1959 Hammer movie with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Not the 1932 classic but a colourful rehash of several Mummy Movies.
Fact 1. Mummies do not walk with their arms outstretched as in Scooby Doo, but by their sides.
Fact 2. If you are going to disturb the Mummy bodyguard to an ancient Egyptian queen, please ensure that your wife/fiance has a striking similarity to dead queen. Also works for vampyres.

Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.
Hammer vamp and swordsmanship classic rises above the cheap special effects with superior script and fight choreography. Some say it is due for the Tarantino treatment.

Another appearance by 1960s hottie Caroline Munro.
