007 was a....I cant bring myself to say it...a woman!! I've nothing against women, pretty things and quite good at cooking, but this " woman" was trying to do bondish things..quite un natural.

That is quite harsh on Mr Craig.

(incidentally, I found most of the scenes with the "other" 007 had some brilliant understated humour. But they're not for everyone ... )

The Platform

Spanish film set in a prison, each cell has 2 prisoners and the cells are set on top of each other. Daily a platform descends from the top filled with food. Those at the top get their pick, whilst those at the bottom...

Amsterdam....Wanted to watch it for a while and yeah I know it had terrible reviews but I really enjoyed it !
Really well shot with some great actors in it.Christian Bale who I love,Margot Robbie, and too many others too mention.
A bit wacky and pretty mad storyline...maybe don't concentrate too hard ? But anyway it was a decent enough Friday night film I'll give it 7 and a half out of ten.

Logan

Not strictly the last film Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine in now but at the time it was. Its very violent and for maybe the only time shows what damage Wolverine is capable of giving out and taking. Its also suprisingly poignant as most of mutant kind had been wiped out and Logan is at the end of his life. He meets a young girl who needs escorting to her destination and reluctantly agrees.

Its everything I wanted a Womverine film to be.

I've no idea what it was called, but the cops were looking rather hot & bothered when that rather fetching wench crossed her legs.

Started watching Scum last night (1979) with a young Ray Winstone. Quite harrowing, and would be even worse if it wasn't so "grange hill". Hoping to finish it tonight. And also hoping that Ray's character goes postal and slaughters all the racist staff 🤞

A hard film to watch, if seen it several times over. A couple of the scenes are very hard to watch.

I went with something more lighthearted - The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Its an enjoyeable Nick Cage and Pedro Pascal double act, the premise of Cage playing an exagerated version of himself works better than you think. Theres a couple of little twists but nothing too cryptic.

Oh my god, what a beautiful film Mr Cameron has made. I've seen it a few times before but not for a number of years but wow. Just wow. The music, the graphics, the tension, the story.

I really don't know know how to describe it. It's a mixture of emotions culminating into... Well, I won't say any more in case of spoiler alert but if you haven't seen it, or even if you have, then make some time to watch it soon. A fantastic, super-fantastic film.

I watched Titanic and Abyss recently and really enjoyed them. Great director, and he did the original Terminator!
