In Time - Andrew Niccol made maybe the best Sci-fi movie of the 90's (Gattaca), which unfortunately compares to Matrix or Terminator as pig's trotters by Pierre Koffmann compare to KFC. Having learned from the experience In Time is an easier watch. With great IMO concept (time left to live replaces all currency) it follows it as a good sci fi would. The plotline revolves around huge inequalities - the poor live day to day, sometimes no longer than 25 years, the rich live forever. Movie works because as always in a well done sci fi it is an allegory of the present.
The weakest element here would be Justin Timberlake, but even he is still OKish.

Blitz.

Ive mentioned this one before. On the one hand a fairly predicatble Stafe slap 'em around a bit film, butnon the other it has a quite and intense and intelligent plot with a brilliant teist at the end.

A worthy 7/10.

The Karate Kid

Obviously seen it gazillions of times before but last night was the first time my kids (10 & 12) had seen it. It was lovely seeing them experience it for the first time - it’s easy to forget that not everyone knows about “wax on, wax off” and how that leads to a karate defence.

Daniel Larusso is still a jumped up tw*t though. I prefer the Jayden Smith remake.
