Thirty three years late, I watched Prayer For The Dying for the first time. As a master class of splendid ham acting, it was outstanding. Great fun.
Alan Bates steals the show there, both sinister and camp at the same time, absolutely hilarious.Thirty three years late, I watched Prayer For The Dying for the first time. As a master class of splendid ham acting, it was outstanding. Great fun.
I'm going to ask a sensible question for a not in the least bit sensible film, where does Jason Bourne get all his money from?
The Bourne films have just turned up on Netflix, and never having seen them before I decided to give them a go, how does he travel the world with no obvious source of income?
At least James Bond has sponsorship from HM government.
Anyway, tonight was the third one, before I watch the fourth is it just a case of the CIA trying to kill him all over again?

I've had a look on IMDB, it looks like the CIA try to kill someone different who's just like Bourne, that's tonight sorted then. 😄The fourth one is about a totally different character - Aaron Cross.
I loved that film and book so much, I made my own tribute.Saw 'Man on the Moon' with the excellent Jim Carrey, portraying the even more excellent Andy Kaufman in his quest to become the ultimate comedian. He may well have succeded.
I'm old enough to remember 'Taxi' back in the late '70s/early '80s and was almost mesmerised by Kaufman's character of Latka.
A great film, a classic film, IMO.
A film that is surprisingly rarely on the telly-box.No Country for Old Men.
Ive seen it before but it gets better every time I watch it. I have come to terms with the ending too, which I didn’t like first time I watched it.
