I've watched a few but plenty of dross out there!.

The Grandmaster, martial arts film about Ip Man's life story. Very interesting!.

The American (George Clooney) ,bit of an odd film but very watchable.

The Foreigner (Jackie Chan). Didn't know what to expect and deffinitely not a "normal" Chan film but it was excellent imho.

Also finished Peaky Blinders Series 3, Tom Hardy playing a very convincing lunatic and Paddy Considine playing a very disturbing priest!.

Saw Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri last night.

Not really what I expected and, although some good performances, it was let down by rather illogical sequences and some bizarre behaviour.

It was entertaining, but in the end unfulfilling, leading you to wonder what the film was supposed to be about.

Hard to recommend it, but at the same time, hard to pinpoint why.

We watched Chips.
Anyone remember the 70's TV Show??? I used to love it.
The film was nothing like it. ^_^ But it was hilarious, if you have a childish sense of humour and find boobs and willies amusing.

I remember the TV show. Erik Estrada's teeth could be seen from space. If a driver threw an apple core out of the window it caused every car within 100yds to start flying through the air like the Red Arrows.
I've got to see this film!

Are you serious? It was probably the worst film I've seen in the last 5 years. Boring, unfunny and offensive (not in a good way). No redeeming features whatsoever. 0/10

I've got to see this film!

Don't bother

Batman Begins.

Slow, boring, tiresome. I really don't know what the fuss was about.

4/10.
Completely agree, althuogh it had its moments. Another trip to the cutting room could have sorted it. Remove the first seven hours with Liam (unconvincing in everything) Neeson, leave in the Garry Oldman bits, plus the Arkham Asylum plot, and the train scene at the end... it could have been 75 minutes of bat-excellence. My advice, if you've not seen the rest of the recent ones, is don't bother. Batman Begins is as good as this franchise gets.

Here for rides.
The King's Choice.
In Norwegian and German with subtitles.
One of the best WWII films I have ever seen. Fascinating.

-also-

The Darkest Hour.
Oscar worthy Oldman.
The bloke who plays the King is also excellent.

Mudbound - up-for-Oscars Netflix original about two families - one black, one white - in post-war Mississippi. Good but gruelling. Never lets up. Hard to say I enjoyed it....but it certainly made me glad I don't live in post-war Mississippi.

Pitch Blacks OK, the rest is just piffle.

I looked up his films, and had forgotten that he did the voice for Iron Giant, which is class. Strays and Boiler Room are also very good, so Vin Diesel now makes my list of Decent Actors.

I'm going to have to re-examine how I judge this, because "Been in 3 Films That Are Really Good" isn't quite cutting it any more. Gerard Butler, Steven Seagal and Nicolas Cage are on there too.

I'm gonna get some flack for this but...

Blade Runner 2049... watched half of it but turned it off before I died of boredom :tired:

I'll give it another try one day (maybe)... but so far it gets 2.049/10
