Really good film with a great cast. Enjoyed it when I first saw it at the cinema and still like it.
I loved this film, until I found out it was a complete work of fiction.I wanted to watch JFK (haven't seen it since it was on at the flicks) on Amazon but it's not out for another 4 years.

???Almost like it was done as an antidote to the genuine darkness and fear that had gone before. Very disappointing.
???
I haven't seen the Spielberg, but I've read the book and of course seen the George Pal version (once - in the 90s I hasten to emphasise - at a cinema. It really stands up.) According to the plot summary on Wikipedia, the recent film has the same ending as the earlier film and the book (and the Orson Welles production, as I recall).

Sorry, I wasn't criticising your judgement. It was a question.Maybe watch it before you criticise my judgement?

Spielberg at his schmaltzy worst.
So that't not going to happen. One of only two movies* ** *** I've walked out of in the cinema was a schmalzy Spielberg.
*Always
**The other was Audition, for the opposite reason.
***Well, maybe 3 movies, as I found Robert De Niro's Frankenstein monster so tedious, I took a break to walk around the lobby and read movie posters, but eventually went back in.
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
I never get tired of this movie and I've watched it more times then I can remember.
Happy, sad, funny, horrific, contemplative, engrossing. It truly is a stunning movie.
