It gets 1 star in reviews..hmm

1 star would be generous, you just need to make allowances if reading a Drago review...he's retired now and the mental faculties are rapidly declining
the steven hawkins film, well put together but very sad - a truly remarkable person.
Have you read Jane Hawking's book that it's based on?

There's much more detail in it.

The original was brilliant
Indeed. From back in April...

The Odd Couple. Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau were never better - and are surely one of the all-time Hollywood pairings - and the Simon script is just perfection. Still studded with laugh out loud moments, but they're almost secondary to the sweet & sour pitch he maintains from first

Felix Ungar: A room, please.
Hotel clerk: You alone?
[Felix nods]
Hotel clerk: Luggage?
[Felix shakes his head]
Hotel clerk: How long do you want it for?
Felix Ungar: Oh, not very long.

to last.

Felix Ungar: In other words, you’re saying you want me to leave?
Oscar Madison: Not in other words! Those are the perfect words!

A masterclass.
