Went to see Spectre at the cinema.
Good stuff, up there with the better Bond films.
As usual though, I'm left wondering why the villain doesn't put a bullet in Bond's brain as soon as he's been captured.

I haven't seen it yet, but there seem to be massive plot holes and Seydoux basically says "I hate you, let's have sex!" her part is so under-written. The fact that that sort of scenario is a cliche of the genre just underlines the importance of making it believable or you are insulting your audience.

Last night i watched one of the worst films I've ever seen. I spent the entire ninety minutes shaking my head and saying 'oh dear', 'oh dear oh dear', 'oh dear oh dear oh dear' ...it's called The Punk, AKA The Punk & the Princess, and according to IMDB, was written by a 13 year old. That explains it!!! IMDB give it 6/10, i'll give it a very generous 2/10. It gets one point for being the worst film I've seen for a long time, and another for the unlikely achievement of each scene being worse than the preceding scene.

'still life'.

an artificial eye film. its set in the UK, a lone council worker who works the deceased dept tracing any relatives of the dead.
It was kinda slow, but did not pick up emotionally enough for me. It stayed more towards the laborious side, needed more heart, grittiness.

2/5

The Job. A feature film in which a business man is offered a way out of his financial difficulties if he delivers a bag to an unknown recipient on condition he doesn't look inside it. On the third delivery, he inevitably takes a gander.

Normally I would give a film like this a solid eight out of ten. But as it was produced, directed, filmed and edited by my son, I'll give it an honest eleven.

Watched Fargo with my daughter last night, Mrs Cisamcgu was swanning around in Durham on some work 'jolly' - it has been many years since I have seen it and I found it just as wonderfully crafted as the first time I viewed it. Miss Cisamcgu thought it was excellent too ^_^
