'Her' not a bad film. About a person that falls in love with an OS operating system that has human like tendencies and feelings or so it thinks as does he.
Rather lovely film, reflective on love and loss.
What is connection with someone, physical or emotional. He thought he was in love and dating this OS, he might have actually been in love with it but it is no reality or physical.
It lovely, slow film that then try to give it quality rather than rush through.

Sabotage.

An Arnold film with the usual amount of guns, and a decent body count, but unusually no humour and quite straight.

Quite a good film 7/10.

No. Just no. Seriously, a film like District 9 deserves to be a stand out and the way it ends is excellent.

Tracks - 8/10

Based on the true story of an Aussie lass who decides it might be a good idea to troop across her country and snare some camels en route. Touching, thoughtful and beautifully shot. A properly thought provoking film. A proper tribute to the country, I thought, unlike Luhrman's schmaltzy rubbish.
District 9 is a very good film.

I didn't know much about it except is has Matt Damon in it. Since he's one of my favourite actors I went to see it.

It's difficult to make a movie that has one main character with the entire movie focussed in him. A bitbkike Cast Away whichbibthink was a better movie, but Martian is along the same lines butbthinknplanets instead of islands.

I liked it, worth watching I think.

Star wars - return of the Jedi

I've been watching them all again and educating my daughter after hearing about the new film. She is a great film buddy as she loves everything from lord of the rings, marvel and other superhero films to animated fun like shrek, cars and monsters inc.

There are others which she can watch yet given she is only 8 but we'll get there.....
Chapeau to you sir!:highfive:....it's important to pass the torch on.:okay:

Casino Royale, D.Craig, still love it.

Opening film noir scene, music from 90s alt rock legend, brilliant parkour chase, it just goes on from there, great movie.

The only quibble in over two hours is the bit where Matthias explains what is happening in the poker game to Vesper. Twice. I realise it's for the uninitiated, but it's irritating as hell when you've watched/played hours of late night Texas hold 'em.

Useless fact: In the book and the original film they play baccarat not poker

Cowspiracy - 9/10

Interesting and compelling viewing, really well made too without the hysterical approach that often accompanies such documentaries. I'd make it required viewing for certain wallopers on the 400ppm thread...
