No Country For Old Men - outstanding

Finally managed to get to the end of amores perros.... hard work at times not least because of constant interruptions but also because of the issues regarding the model's recovery after the op... I know how difficult it can be... not sure how to rate the film one, one of those rather like breaking of the waves and alive. you are glad you have seen it but at the same time not sure you want to have seen it...

my advice is to just watch El Mariachi :okay: ...and forget the other hugely inferior efforts
already watched them all now! you are several days late!
now watched amores perros and will be watching matador tomorrow now.

Still Alice. A wonderful performance by Julianne Moore, thoroughly deserving of the armfuls of awards. Kristen Stewart is very good too. An extremely well done portrayal of the subject matter.

Serenity. I don't usually watch sci-fi, but this one got a solid 8 on IMdB so I thought I'd give it a go, and I'm glad I did. Good script, good performances, cracking one-liners all the way through.

Have you seen Firefly (the TV series)?
It's worth a watch, flawed though it is. Shame it got cancelled.
