I am now full time taxi driver and housekeeper to my 2 lovely boys (11 and 10)and I work as a bursar in a school paid 24 hours a week unpaid x hours (5 tonight!)

In my old life I was a banker hard though it may seem given the modern career structure when I had my first branch it was the first all female branch in the country for my particular bank and I was the youngest appointed manager the first female in the South West & Wales Region. I think this was about 20 years ago. My claim to fame was the Sunday Mail article where a customer wrote complaining the young female manager wouldn't led him any money - if that was you I am sorry to say HO fully supported my decision!

What would I like to do

I always fancied being an estate agent (obviously not a good time at the moment) or a car salesman failing that just playing tennis and cycling would suit if someone would care to finance me.

Dont do it Willow  ...having spoken at length to three different estate agents before the slump (i put mine on the market in December..gave up in the end)..i realised they ALL say what sounds right at the time, put spin on everything, and tell you what they think you want to hear.
I came away very disillusioned with every one i'd spoken to.

Non-Gender Specific Urinals Outreach Co-ordinator.

I have to make do on a measerly 65k per annum thanks to that bitch Thatchers' hate campaign against local authority workers. I am sometimes forced to work almost three days a week owing to the Tories public spending cuts, which means we are massively understaffed in this important and vital role.

That's why I'd like to do it though to do it properly so when you ask for a house with a bike shed, bike rack, garage, workshop and 3 bathrooms you don't get sent details of the house that bears absolutely no resemblance to what you are looking for! Still I need the job security of where I am at the moment so until I can afford to fail they'll be no change - wish I had a real talent for something that I enjoy that would rake in the money - don't we all!

About to be declared redundant according to today's Times!!

Operations manager in a government advisory body. Do the staff and cash numbers stuff, manage small/medium projects, run our conferences and events and in between catch all the stuff that falls outside other folk's job descriptions!

It's mostly communications satellites - they don't tend to come back down from a geosync orbit.
Is 22 000 miles up far enough for your colleague insubordinate subordinate?

I would have liked to have been the Soup Dragon but there is only one of them, so I bumbled into being a social worker and then got promoted so I'm now responsible for a team of social workers working in criminal justice. I tend to go to lots of meetings about policy, and get involved in development 'stuff', as well as day-to-day management. I have not been found out yet so as long as that continues I'll be happy enough.

I sometimes post an awkward reply ('Can anyone tell me the current processes for supervising sex offenders in the community?' was a favourite of mine ) in Politics and Life to a topic I have knowledge about when it becomes obvious nobody else does, and the thread usually grinds to a halt

Quite a good job, not as good as the Soup Dragon but I can live with it.
