C Duncan - a great singer and a lovely album:

I saw him live in Newcastle and he brought his gran to the gig - she was in the audience - and when he mentioned on stage that it was her birthday the whole crowd sang Happy Birthday To You to his granny. A great great moment.

Had a little spree in Fopp on Monday so in no particular order;

Prince-Sign Of The Times(Have it on vinyl but wanted a cd copy of it)

Steve Mason(of Beta Band fame)-Meet The Humans

Iggy Pop-Post Pop Depression

Japan-The Very Best Of(Again have some albums on vinyl)

Lush-Blind Spot EP.

Also splashed out on the new Radiohead album special edition box set;won't get it for a while but have the WAV files downloaded just have to get them on my olde worlde i-pod.

And had an e-mail from Pearl Jam that Yield is being re-issued on vinyl so that's another purchase to make:rolleyes:.

I bought the Iggy LP, it's rather good, it's the first of his I've bought since Zombie Birdhouse in the early 80s.

Quick blast of Steve Earle Guitar Town earlier, he went off the boil after his first two, they're still ok. He's not.

Yeah,it's pretty good;but I'm a QOSA fan as well so was likely to enjoy it although the Vultures thing with the Grohlster and JP Jones was a bit meh.

I can't afford to go, Maz is away for the weekend so I'm on me todd. It was a toss-up between seeing Rory McLeod and the Familiar Strangers (which is probably a 1 off tour) and the Feelgoods, Rory won (and was well worth it)
Hope Steve's on form tonight. :becool:
Double header for us this weekend, The Blockheads tomorrow.

They'll be back in 6 months. One day we will end up at the Musician at the same time. :okay:
