Here for rides.
I've become slightly obsessed with finding versions of "I am A Poor Wayfaring Stranger".

So far, I really like the version that's in "The Broken Circle Breakdown".
How strange. I became obsessed with tracking down versions of that song after watching Cold Mountain. Our nu-grass band stuck with the Jack White version, and insisted I paired it with "Am I born to die?".

Lots of Elmore James, Son House, and Sonny Boy Williamson II songs, since you ask.

I blame watching The Blues Band live last weekend.
Nowt wrong with a bit of blues, here's a couple of songs with one of my heroes Steve Walwyn guesting. (I think he was at a bit of a loose end as Wilco had been playing with the Feelgoods leaving Steve free for a bit'
Incidentally rumour has it Steve is doing his 3rd LEJoG later this year as part of his 60th birthday celebrations.

Bit of an Elvisfest yesterday, Elvis is Back and That's The Way It Is. EIB was his first LP after the army and it's a top notch record with a more mature sounding Elvis, TTWII is a disc taken from the film of the same name, I was listening the the Follow That Dream version which is a two disc set with extra tracks and rehearsal sessions, this is Elvis into his second Vegas year. The boy at his very peak, contemporary material and a first rate band.

At the moment I'm listening to the tappety-tap of keyboards as I'm at work, but Wednesday night I listened to Yes at Colston Hall, and rather good it was too.
