Drivers who overtake you, even as you're signally to turn right
angry.gif

I can beat this one, overtaking you as you are signalling to turn right and pulling into the central refuge. Had a guy in a crappy astra do this once and nearly rolled their car going into a petrol station. Given the state of the car and the poor standard of driving, I doubt very much that this driver even had a licence.

My pet hate is going out on a ride into a head wind and coming back on a circular route still into a head wind! Work that one out!!!
Easy-peasy:

When you go out in still or light airs, your 18–24 mph movement generates a breeze in you face of ...

18–24 mph! Which on the Beaufort scale is a Fresh Breeze (generates moderate (1.2 m) longer waves. Some foam and spray. Branches of a moderate size move. Small trees begin to sway.) - this is force 5. Force 6 is a Strong Breeze (aka 'Yachtsman's Gale') and 6 is Gale force.

And this will always (on still days) be in your face. Simples  . Of course as you get tired and slow down, the winds drops but you are tired so feel as if it is still strong.

Best thing is - you can do nothing about it!

Two main things:

Head winds and strong cross winds pi$ me off no end. I generally avoid going on a 'good' ride if I know the wind is up just 'cause it angers me so.

Cars/vehicles that DO NO INDICATE. If I can take the time and effort to remove one arm from my cockpit and balance precariously to indicate my intentions, there's NO reason why car-folk can't flick their finger ever so slightly.

I am still waiting to discover the mythical tail wind .....

Aah, one day you will. I experienced it once, back in the early part of 2011 when I was riding my hybrid. I caught a hefty tailwind and was thrust along the flat at 36mph.
