i should think it will give you more free time to be concentrating on chewing on the bar tape
i havent looked at the elevation this year but i seemed to remember the nomadic group doing 12000ft climbing and i know i was in first gear by about mile 3
you know your body more than anyone and i know you done it with asthma ( much kudos ) - dont forget we had possibly the best weather possible on our run
we all like challenges like blokes in diving suits doing london marathon or a bloke hitting a golf ball doing lejog but more than anything i think time would be an issue , you will be doing no more than 3mph up a lot of hills , something to try and work some sort of equation for ! let us know what happens on test runs maybe do a 10milehilly tester to give you a rough time
