Sadly I have to bail on ToC. I have had a virus all this week and it’s not clearing. All I have read suggests it’s obviously not sensible to ride with a virus. It’s a real shame coz I was really looking forward to trying to stay with Norry and seeing everyone. Enjoy the ride- May the road rise up to meet you.

Just thought - can't you get somebody real slow to take your place - then that will be one less person to beat to get in the top 25%

I’m not sure I can bare watching it with Liverpool supporters. Could be painful .

If they’re showing it in the hotel it would be handy though.

It might be more straight forward to just ring them?

Worse case scenario there are a few hotels in Peterborough. I stayed at a holiday inn or something last year. But I’d be very surprised if you can’t tranfer the room.

It would if the feckers answered the phone-they don't. Neither reservations or front desk. Extraordinary really.

I'm in a Air b'n'b a few miles away (near the showground). If everyone's at the Park Inn I'll meet you all there and we can fodder up ready for Sunday.

I’m quite dubious about smart scales in general to measure bmi.

My brothers and I are near boongate. Who knows where the best pubs for food and football?

I could tell you a good pub for food, but not for football - as they don't have a TV! Me and the wife are booked in for a meal at pub near our hotel quite early in the evening, with the intention of finishing well before kickoff and watching the game back at the hotel.

That'll probably be our solution as well. There's a few chain restaurants near the hotel, we're not picky. We'll probably just grab a bite and go back and chill in the hotel with a softish drink or 3 . As a family we can't lose on this game a supporter of each side was in the family.

The closest I get to social media are these forums that we use. I do not have a acefache, instawhatsit or twatter. I don't have the time to devote to it.

I do use whatsapp for immediate family stuff, but that is limited to family not public views. Am I now forced to consider the CC crew as family since I've joined the ToC group .
