Would’ve the first closed roads ride where TT tucked in behind an older rider
True, but it does sound like the first time I could lose the big strava segment to one

Just taking wife to cinema to break the bad news, I'll be out on my bike for most of 2018
I suspect she'll look at it as good news
The price is off putting. Angus from La Vie en Vélo is tiring to get me to put a group together for the Nice sportive in March. I can get flights there and back for that fee. Which is a way of asking if anyone up for it? Supposed to be a great sportive.

Fwiw, I think I'm am stronger now...well maybe not this summer, but I have now had a long period without illness and injury.
Been lurking this thread, but my eyes are on the Chrono event. Also been looking at the TT gran fondo in Rhodes, but the problem in both cases is getting a TT bike to actually ride on. A bike case is really expensive, and I don't even know if they can accomodate the special frame geometry of a TT bike. It would be great if I could find some place to hire a TT bike, but a can't recall having ever come across a rental TT bike on the internet.
No I haven't checked that, thanks , I'll check that out tomorrow.Lars, in the UK you can hire bike boxes at reasonable prices. Have you checked to see if there's something like that in Denmark? Companies do it but also people do it through eBay.
I always just use a cardboard box from the local bike shop.I stopped doing those longish sportives, but my last one was very similar: https://www.strava.com/activities/22991162

I found a bikeshop right next to my work which boast of having bike cases specifically for TT bikes for rent.Lars, in the UK you can hire bike boxes at reasonable prices. Have you checked to see if there's something like that in Denmark? Companies do it but also people do it through eBay.
