Cycled my bike over to Bob’s yesterday and there was a load of creaking coming from the bb area. Grrrrr.... I’m hopeful I didn’t tighten the chainrings properly when I swapped them over and that’s the cause of it.

I've just fitted new threaded BB shells a few days after creaking intermittently. I too thought it was loose chainring bolts.

My bb is threaded too. So hopefully it’s solvable. It’s a little annoying to discover it now. You think I could get away putting bike grease in my hand luggage?

Once changed a BB for what turned out to be a pedal creaking. Andy is your Tripster an ATR? Looking at the geometry of the ATR on line it looks more relaxed than yours.

Tripster ATR V2 Randy. If you're not desperate to get frame immediately to build, I am doing a further upgrade to mine when I get back home. If it works, I will update you. It should make the perfect tourer. ;)

The stack and reach are almost exactly the same as the Orbea that was extreamly comfortable on long days. One of the dealers over here is having a sale so I may jump on it soon. Thanks and have all of you have a great trip.

Like a divot I put an expensive multi tool and 2 large Allen keys in my hand luggage when I flew to Tenerife last week. They were confiscated and the customer centre was closed when I returned after midnight on Monday. Looks like I will be buying a new one.

Yeah been there done that for an edc pocket knife that I forgot was in my jacket. I knew it may be an issue so I left it out of the pile of pocket stuff, then it started raining and I grabbed the jacket on the way out. I'd been dropped of by my brother and he'd gone home so I couldn't hand it to him :banghead:
