Just had my bike nicked. W@nkers... the joke of it is it’s nearly 20 years old and probably has about 50-100 quid resale value at best. Sentimental value, somewhat higher.... grrrrr!

Gawd, sorry to hear that Tommy. You have often talked about how much you loved that Caad.
Hope you are insured.

Thanks guys. The bike’s insured so I’ll claim some back. I did love that bike to be honest. Sounds silly but it fitted me like a glove.

But I actually got some much sadder news tonight about a very dear old friend of mine. So it’s safe to say things have been put into perspective.

Lets face it. Objects, however much we cherish them, pale into insignificance compared to the people we care about.

My youngest daughter drew a picture of me earlier today at nursery. Well partly me, partly unicorn. I think it’s her best one yet but I could be wrong. It definitely made me laugh at a time I needed to smile. Feels like a fair trade for an old bike

I understand entirely why you’re going home Randy. You were on a journey with a campanion. It wouldn’t feel the same from now on. But next time you come to the UK I really hope you come to London. You’re more than welcome to stay with me and I’ll show you London like only a Londoner can!
