One stop is fine for me too. I defo need one to stretch out the shoulder but stop for too, or too many could be counterproductive.

Any sign of those jerseys Bridgy?

No not yet

I emailed them on Friday to ask if there was any news on expected delivery but haven't had a reply yet....

Don't worry, I'll let you all know the moment they arrive though!

You can always drop back and join us Mellow Velo riders. 3 full food stops, maybe a nap and no turn at the front.

They've just replied to my email with:

Our production team are busy working on your order and we currently expect it to be delivered to you by 28/29th May.

Just before dispatch I will email you to confirm the delivery details, then once it has left our warehouse I will furnish you with the tracking number so you can track it to your door.

@bridgy @Monte there is a good 50 mile ride from Shaftesbury on Sunday morning if you're interested? I'm planning to do it. 1200 metres of climbing, with finish up Gold Hill (think hovis advert). Let me know if interested and we can meet up. To find online its the North Dorset Cycle Ride.

Thanks Carl - a full day of kids football duties for me on Sunday I'm afraid though (I somehow seem to have volunteered to organise and take a team of under 12s to a tournament )

Enjoy the ride though - I've never ridden up the Hovis hill in Shaftesbury, but I have cycled to Shaftesbury (on the way to the IOW actually!) a couple of times and enjoyed the view of it from the very nice cafe at the top of it! I hope you're not intending to get up that on your fixie - it's nearly vertical!

Edit: Hands up who thought/assumed that hill in the Hovis advert was in Yorkshire when they were growing up? :hello:

Haha nope, definitely be on the geared bike. That hill is vertical and cobbled. I feel I may be doing the walk of shame.

Enjoy the footy :okay:

^_^

We’ve all done the walk of shame mate. It’s the memory of an elderly bloke heckling me as I walked up Ditchling beacon that haunts me to this day! :B)

At least I’ve got the memory of dropping another elderly bloke up the same hill to balance it out I guess. Evening Bob :hello: ^_^

Yeah but that heckler was one of me old mates and he told me you had looked so crestfallen that time that I had to let you win. He’s a good bloke ^_^

It must of been a bad day Tommy, Ditchling wasn't too bad, even with a laden-ed saddle bag

It was back in the days when I was smoking like a chimney. To be honest I think it must of been after my mum passed away as that’s when I started cycling for the sake of cycling rather than just A to B. so within the last 5 years. Back in those days I could sort of bluff it with a little leg strength but as soon as you call the lungs into action :surrender:
