The road tax on Chris Rea's Deltic is £2,000,000 a year. His attempt to e register it as a camper van failed miserably.

Easy to do with the TURDIS in clocked mode, especially if mad Madeley busy with the empty champers bottles ,or indeed rummaging around in his Budgen's carrier bags for next bottle.

Can he not class it as an historic vehicle?

You would have thought so, but someone in officialdom ,has cottoned on to all the hassle his illegal time travelling is causing , so refused his application ,solely because it doesn't conform as Chris hadn't worked out how to fit a removable table, and kitchen unit...... surprisingly little room In a Deltic class loco, most of
It is engine!

Chris Rea and his Deltic were hired to haul the Six-Five Special.

He also used it to avoid paying the toll on The Rock Island Line, Lonnie Donegan accompanied him in the Deltics cab, hence the song having Leadbelly's original lyrics modified to include not paying their way, also Chris Rea took Lonnie Donegan in the Time Transit where they crossed the Appalachian Mountains, Cumberland Gap in the early 1920's, they heard locals singing the song "Cumberland Gap" but again Lonnie Donegan changed the lyrics slightly, with the 15 Miles To The Cumberland Gap part coming from the fact the Time Transit was low on petrol, and Lonnie Donegan was calling out how far to The Cumberland Gap Gas Station, Lonnie Donegan is a household name, thanks to Chris Rea

Chris used to have a really weird habit of collecting teaspoons, but that stopped when he was in Wetherspoons , for his bottomless refills, he noticed they don't have teaspoons just those wooden stirrers,
Anyway the drawers to the TURDIS are overflowing with purloined teaspoons, he now makes a point with every visit for his cuppa , to nick of with these wooden stirrers, his ambition is to build a wooden replica of the transporter bridge, full size.
Of course it won't be a working replica, just a model.

Chris Rea recently went back to Massapequa, New York, in 1979, where he bumped into an up & coming Rockabilly Band, he had taken Graeme The Lynx, sorry, Graeme The Maine Coon with him, the 3 band members were amazed to see Graeme strutting around, in his K9 XL harness with Chris holding the lead, they asked Chris all about Graeme, and learned how Chris came to have him as a pet, and that he kept escaping and raiding the neighbours bins, and that the miserable old so & so next door keeps chucking shoes at Graeme ,this lead to the bands song writer & lead guitarist/singer to write a song all about Graeme, Stray Cat Strut became a massive hit for The Band who named themselves The Stray Cats, Chris Rea has a collection of shoes in his house now that Graeme brings home, so Chris Rea has dropped them off at various charity shops around Accrington, in order to avoid giving them back, as he can't stand his neighbour, and thinks that someone will have a use for them.

Chris also nicks off with clothing orders ,in his TURDIS, wears them for a day, then drops them of in his time machine, just before they are delivered, this Accrington oik will never twig, so accurate is Chris with the settings, despite rumblings from the Auberge field settings
