Yeahbut nobut.....the idea is to make nice stuff to eat. Unless you at least TRY new stuff you will never know what you might be missing out on.

Of course it doesn't always turn out as hoped. (Feckin' understatement that)

I recently discovered the large frozen squid tubes from Wing Yip. They're a fantastic ingredient in paella, fish curry, kegeree and similar.
Beautiful texture and flavour, and very tolerant of my ham-fisted cooking - have yet to have one go rubbery.
Oh, and large.

When a driver shows kindness, know the feeling when you are in your car at a junction waiting for a gap and another driver lets you out, or even when on a bike and a driver passes leaving a good distance and any other cars then also give lots of room.

We are in the tail end of a massive interrail adventure…..I have been astonished how drivers in Budapest, Bucharest & Ruse, Bulgaria, stop when you even look at the road to let you across. Fabulous!

After running my Giant Defy Composite on Continental GP4000S2 700x25 tyres, which I thought were the widest it could take, but the damn things kept splitting, I fitted some Continental Ultra Sport 700x28's that were in the garage, what a revelation they fit, they're comfy and better for the cratered/potholed roads of this fair county, result! and no costs involved either, I'm well chuffed

I've just added some fresh coriander to a slow cooker meal I'm making. I must say that coriander is the nicest smelling 'add to food' thing I think I've ever smelt.🧐
