For the last two weeks someone has put my recycling bin back in place after a few hours stood on the pavement after being emptied. I've gone out then returned hours later, thinking I'll move it, to find someone's done it for me. It's either someone thinking "I'll do him a favour", or someone thinking "it's bugging me being left there", but whatever their motive I'm very grateful!

I'm almost sure it's her below's son. She'll be sending him out, after she sees me leave my flat in the afternoon, to move it. It must bug her so much that she can't wait till about 7pm when I usually move it.

People using the allegedly ultra-hyper-super- convenient 'digital age' phone method of paying on buses only to find the code won't scan properly with me standing behind them with paper/metal stuff called cash:okay:.

In London, it can be entertaining to watch people leap gazelle-like at the ticket barrier on the Tube assuming the system can scan an oyster card in 0.01 microseconds, only to find it can't and then crashing into the closed barrier:blush:. Must hurt.

Code not scanning right off a mobile is typically due to the phoned screen not bring bright enough, a useful tip from the local post office with a print in store code.

Years ago, the rebooted kids cartoon Roobarb & Custard was done with oh-so-21st century CGI but they had to put the 'wobbly drawings' effect back in by computer^_^. Bob Godfrey just did it with felt tip marker pens & a big wad of paper:okay:.

Tonight I hand washed 5 jumpers/woolens. Totally hand washed mind, not even spinning them. I did them one by one, soaking for 10 minutes then plunging them into the luke warm water then rinsing 4 times. I hand wrung them out as best as I could. There are puddles of water now on my bathroom floor where I've placed them. They'll take a couple of days to dry, but I'm pleased they're done now for another few months. Only another 10 or so to do now.

This was the last carrot left in a local supermarket this evening. Look at the size of it!

I wish now I'd taken a photo of the carrot I bought at Tesco, then chopped up to put in my slow cooker last night. It was thick up to the end, then it had a sort of thin pencil like end. I did a pretend to be writing with it scene at the checkout. The woman on the till looked at me as if to say 'f..k..g weirdo"!
In the old days you could've sent it to Esther Rantzen.
