Trivial things that make you annoyed beyond expectations?

The most annoying things of that nature are over complex cookers, particularly in holiday lets. All in need is "getting hot mode", yet I'm regularly faced with baffling menus of settings

We stayed in such a holiday let last year, and all the paint had rubbed off the dial! So we were trying to cook pizza on a setting where we could at least feel the oven getting hot. It must have been fan grill though, because they burned on top and were stone cold throughout.

I also got an oven in my old house, which was brand new, and had wifi on it. Quite handy if you want it to tell your phone when it's up to temp, or when the timer has expired. But....every time the oven was switched off, it would forget the wifi pairing (a safety feature maybe) so going through the hassle of reconnecting every time was not worth it

That never occurred to me before, but I have a feeling I'm now going to gradually turn all the jars and bottles in my kitchen until I can see the labels...

I am generally lucky if I find I have put things back in the right cupboard!!

The frequent misspelling of 'til on television subtitles. Till is not an abbreviation of until, and in this case, the dictionary is also wrong.

As @DaveReading said, till is older and from that we got the slightly younger until. It’s not an abbreviation, it’s the parent!

Till, in the sense of going onward to/into/as far as(in time), is around 1000 years old.
