Yes - familiar with that arrangement, but the Leedammer was the only item in this promotion (small shop, limited range).But it isn't uncommon to have a selection of items in the "any two for £5" type offer, where most are more than £2.50, but some are exactly £2.50.
The idea is that many people wouldn't want two of the one item, but may well want one each of two items, and they still save overall if they are getting two items for £5 where one would have been £2.50 and one would have been (say) £2.80. So the total for the two items is £5.00 instead of £5.30.
