No-one buys a jet-ski by accident.

I'll repeat the key-phrase here: " ... example of a leisure activity (for one person) that creates big problems for everyone else visiting/enjoying the area."

I was referring to the BBQ 😆

Mmm, this one taken off a local gossip/buy and sell/lost & found/nail bar advice  etc,etc Facebook page is difficult. I more or less agree with the statement below, but the other day I left my mutt in my car while I went shopping for 20 minutes. It was about 5.30, the sun was shining and it was about 22 Celsius. I'd left my car's two windows open about 5 inches and the soft top roof open about 8 inches. You have to open them as much as possible while bearing in mind a too wide open window could attract a thief who could steal my mutt by reaching in, unfastening his seat belt and taking him out via that open roof or windows. I'd also put a thin blanket over the windscreen to block the sun out. My dog had just been offered water, which he refused as he'd been drinking it all day. Anyway, as I locked my car a woman approached me saying "You're not going to leave that dog in that boiling car are you"! I told her he was comfy, cool, watered etc, but it didn't matter! She then said "if you leave him in that car I'll smash the window to rescue him"! I then took a photo of her saying If that happens I'll have a photo of the one who's committed the criminal act. This incident made me very wary of such a thing happening, with me coming back to my car to find a broken window and my dog missing. My gripe is that yes!, if A dog is clearly in distress in a hot car then do as it says below, but if you see a dog in a car on a 'hot' day and it seems comfy and well ventilated etc then you can't just go smashing car windows and 'rescuing' dogs just because the plod say you can!! 🧐

Police say if you see a dog locked in a car in case of high heat, take a picture of the dog and the car, call the police, wait 5 minutes and break the car window. This way you will not be charged with criminal damage and will give evidence to the police to take the dog owners to court.
Can anyone copy and paste this information to prevent this atrocity from happening?
The summer is coming!

Like farts.....

Your own are pleasant, but others are disgusting!🤣🤣

I wouldn't know, but I have worked with kids before, so I know how deeply unpleasant and disgusting they can be.

Yep, give me the dog ANY day!

My good friend and infrequent cycle touring partner runs a kindergarten and loves it. He says the only drawback of working with kids is the parents.

My Mum was a Primary School teacher, so I've heard my fair share of horror stories, trust me.

I largely enjoyed working with kids (special needs school) at the time, but not ALL the time.

How about 'lollypop' men/women who stop the traffic to let adults cross the road! Yes, if they have a child/pupil with them, but not if they're on their own or even going to pick a child up from school. Today a lollypop bloke stepped out in front of me to let a bloke who looked like he was in his 20's/30's cross the road. I suppose he was going to pick a child up, but seeing as he didn't have a child with him at the time why couldn't he just wait till there was a break in the traffic, like we all have to do when out and about! I'm thinking about phoning Lancs County Council up and asking them if they could provide me with a lollypop person, whenever I need to cross the road safely! 🧐

Maybe they just wanted to 'clock' your outfit for longer?

Seriously though, yes I've experienced that too. It's unnecessary, but if we are paying for it through our Council Tax or whatever, then I want to at least take advantage of it sometimes! 😆

One's 'street cred' must drop drastically, when one is seen being helped across the road by a lollpop man/woman!! 🧐
