I had the opposite problem today with a 1 kg bag of porridge oats... The bags are normally very well glued at the top so a firm pull is required to open them. This one wasn't though, so it unexpectedly came open immediately, causing me to shower oats across the worktop!Bags of flour. Irritating feckers.
Glued together in such a manner as to make it odds on you will tear the bag when opening it thus getting flour everywhere when trying to pour it out.
Finely ground porridge oats are so annoying! No matter how much you try to be careful when opening or closing the bag they're in, in the box, they will escape the bag and head to the floor or kitchen surfaces!!
These were Kavanagh's jumbo organic oats, so nice big flakes. They cost nearly 3 times the price of the finely ground 'Everyday Essentials' oats, but they are much nicer and I can afford the odd luxury like that now I have my pension**.Finely ground porridge oats are so annoying! ** And haven't yet had my first massive winter fuel bill!
I use about half of each bag for porridge, and the rest mixed into my 'muesli++' (a bag of no added sugar Lidl muesli with a bag of mixed seeds and a scoop of raisins added). They’re great for making your own granola
Round handled screwdrivers and tools that are designed specifically to roll of surfaces. Why not make them slightly oval so they stay still..

I gave up on tearing items open a few years ago. Now it's scissors and knives, both carefully used if it's a soft, damage easy item, not visible in its box or bag.
Dove’s Farm had a spell where their glue machine was being over generous. It’s a nightmare. I found sliding a spoon handle into the fold and pushing the “wrong way” against the glue worked bestTried it. Doesn't work with the way flour bags are folded and glued.☹️
