The standard stopwatch and timer you get on google pixel phones: Once you start the stopwatch (or timer), the Reset button is right next to the Stop button so it's very easy to just reset it when you meant to just stop it.

The stopwatch and timer on Apple iPhones is better designed.

I think that must be specific to the Pixel, not Android generally. While the reset button on my Samsung is next to the stop/pause button, the latter is large and centrally placed, so not easy to accidentally miss it and hit reset instead.

I have never had that problem.

I just checked... on my Pixel 5 the buttons are about 2 cm apart which is far enough for me, but I suppose it depends what you are doing at the time. I am just sitting on my sofa rewatching stage 11 of the Tour de France so I can pay attention to the phone. If I were doing something else and trying to operate the phone one-handed, maybe that would be more of a problem.

I still think Apple's design is better: they don't even have a reset button shown while the stopwatch is in operation. It only comes into existence once the stop button is pressed and it's on the other side.
In my next "what annoys me" posting, I shall post about your Samsung phone! (joking)
