The odd times we watch any TV with adverts, it becomes clar that the human race is doomed...
I really can't stand them.

During the Tour de France, I record the ITV4 coverage even if I intend to finish watching when the coverage finishes, at 20:00. That way I can start watching at 19:20 and skip the ads.

ITV are putting lots of ads in, but they are being pretty good and doing almost exactly 5 minutes worth each time. I have my Freesat box set to step 1 minute forward for each button press, and 15 seconds back if I go the other way. I simply rapidly press SKIP x 5. If the break was 5 minutes, super. If it turned out to be say 4 mins 50 seconds, I then press SKIP BACK once. Perfect!

Yet there are times when the adverts are infinitely preferable to the “reality TV”/soap/insert your own choice programme they are interrupting
I detect a difference in partner viewing habits...

That is what a laptop/tablet, YouTube (or other streaming platform) and headphones/earbuds were made for! :okay:

"Robin Reliant"
:cursing:
There's no such farking thing!!! It's "Reliant Robin".
And Del Boy never had one, his was a Regal III Supervan.
If anyone ever says to me that they've seen a Scimitar Reliant, my head will explode...
And apologies to @gavgav for ranting!

Completely agree. There’s a similar thing with motorcycle racing commentators who talk about so-and-so on the “R6 Yamaha” or the “998 Ducati”.

Ads. for forthcoming gigs by an act from way back with an impressive hit roster.
That’s fine with me, but why do all the titles of the hits have to be in the ad too?
Sorry- it’s irrational, but it just really annoys me.

Telling us (for example) that Ewan McGregor (Shallow Grave, Trainspotting) has a new movie out is equally annoying!
