Sometimes two team time trials as well 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

And sometimes an ITT or TTT on the same day as another stage.

I think the sport is the cleanest it's ever been, that's why I'm touchy with the doping talk.We don't want to spoil what's some of the best cycling battles we've ever seen do we.
Anyway advancements in equipment and fueling...nothing to do with doping.😁

"Jonas Vingegaard's favourite food is Döner kebab. I incorporate that during the Tour de France" - Visma's food coach opens up on rider habits

I agree totally with your doping statements.

Sadly, it may take decades to rid the sport of its past history. Not helped by the occasional infraction, of course.

There are plenty of idiots on Reddit who buy into the 'they are so fast they MUST be doping' mantra.

Some are stating that Jonas & Tadej looked so fresh after there last monumental battle that that is proof positive!

To my eyes both looked shattered. In good spirits for sure but far from fresh.

I've no idea how clean or otherwise the sport is at the moment cos I have no insider info. But I do know it's as exciting as I can remember.

If some evidence comes out that someone is being naughty I'll claim that I suspected all along they were a wrong 'un. But until then I propose to just enjoy it.

It does indeed make you wonder why the arch-cynics still watch.

Honestly? I think it's about being a smart-arse. They think cynical makes you look smarter than all the sheeple who meekly get on with blindly enjoying the actual race. When you realise that no-one can prove a negative, you can see why this d1ck-wav1ng self-aggrandising strategy seems so attractive.

And where are most smart-arses to be found? Yup, on social meeja...

I quite like the idea of a prologue (or at least a short-ish TT) on the same day as a short road stage.

A least it gets the question of who goes into yellow out of the way nice and quick. Gives the specialist TTers a chance one year. Then next year can have a flat first stage for the sprinters and so on.
