More GC shenanigans? A Pinot spectacular (in which he finishes second)?

And closed road I think as too narrow for fans barriers etc. Was thinking of going to watch it, but that put me off, and the finish is actually quite a long way from base here.

The number of vehicles within the race convoy will be limited as well. And the media centre will be built down in the valley so it may be a while before we hear from the winner. If it was me climbing up the Puy de Dome, I'd be tempted to cycle into the media centre and say that I've already finished........

He had it all - still does!

He could sense a gap, was a true sprinting 'genius' at finding space and while sure, he had great lead-out men, Cav knew how to win regardless.

I do believe he had a win waiting for him in this Tour.

When he saw his chance yesterday - and before the gear issues - despite already knowing the result I thought he was going to win; he caught them all napping, and looked nailed on!

But that's sport...

Aww man, just watched the ITV4 highlights show and I'm still surprised how upset I am about Cav (getting soft in my old age!). I think Marcel Kittel summed in up perfectly " We all began to believe in the fairy-tale but now it's over"

The interviews were brilliant, so many heart-felt tributes. And Prudhomme's was the best, genuinely moving
