Hehe very funny ;-)

Thanks for the advice guys, it is much appreciated!

I went out again today and did an 8.5 mile round trip. Not much but enough to make me a bit red in the face but not so it was uncomfortable. Am feeling great!!

I did however forget my bike lock but luckily I was allowed to take my bike on to my appointment....

Congrats on going out for a spin (definitely better than a grind, well the cycling sort anyway  ). I take my bike into the Chinese takeaway when I go to get a curry..I don't half get some funny looks. :stop:

Thanks! Think I might have to add one of those miles done and weight lost thingies to my profile!

Can someone remind me how to do it please?

If you are on about mycylinglog, you need to join it and request to join the cycle chat group. If you then pm Ianrauk he will help you get the sig - I can't remember how to do it, despite him looking like a smurf, he is rather helpful

Dusted off the bike last May. Loving it, but it does get bloody addictive!

Definitely gets addictive out at 9 tonight for an hour got 14 miles in and some big hills I couldn't previously manage, does anyone else enjoy riding at night when roads are quieter
Oh yes, love riding late at night, or very early mornings: peace and quiet

Well done Emma. You've started as I did, slow and steady. It wasn't long before I started cracking the big milestones and my weight started falling off. You've mad some big increases quite quickly, remember to listen to your body and rest. Rest is as important as anything as most of your fitness gains are made in the phase.
