Right madam
Shall we try that again?
Go outside, then come back in leaving your filthy language, demands and attitude at the door.
Will gladly help you but no need for this

The new (ish) housing estates at Catcliffe are on a flood plain and the brand new estate that is still being built (just down the road behind JTF on the road to Handsworth) are on a old landfill site. Purchase a house there and get flooding and subsidence at no extra cost.
When it was flooded out 2006? I drove down that road in a VW T4 the water was coming into the cab through the door seals, there was a guy walking towards us with water nearly to his waist.

I don't want to start a new thread so thought I'd use this one for "Things I have said but no bugger is listening":

"Strictly is pish, Michael McIntyre is pish, Casualty is pish, can you please turn this off so I can listen to some ACDC at a really loud volume?"
That's the kind of problem that noise-cancelling headphones were invented for! :okay:

You cannot really listen to AC/DC through headphones you need big speakers driven hard by good amplification to get the full effect.

I have noticed a really strange effect recently. I sometimes listen to loud music on TV channels at night and I always use headphones so I don't annoy my neighbours. Several times I thought that I had accidentally left my soundbar turned on because I could feel the 'thump' of the bass signal from the subwoofer hitting my body. I'd remove the headphones and find that I was imagining it - I was only getting sound from the headphones!

A few years ago we took my brother to see an AC/DC tribute band, TVC dropped us off then picked us both up when the gig was over. They were brilliant and so loud, took a few days to get my hearing back properly
