'Hey dad, one of your favourite pencils !!!'
I was walking across the yard at work and picked up an abandoned pencil, looked at it...hmmm, its a HB.
And in that moment i remembered a HB was my dads favoured pencil, he used them a lot, he was an artist and often had half a dozen in a jar along biros, brushes etc etc
It quite upset me for a few minutes .

Overtaking me when I am slowing down for a cyclist that has just pulled out in front of me without looking, and at the same time a pedestrian that is attempting to cross from the buses to the rail station is the behaviour of a nobber.

(I decided against saying that on the grounds that they might think that I was a market stall ...)

"Your friend's arm was clearly able to take the impact of the wooden pub sign that you smashed it with, but I am not sure that your other mate's head is completely ok after you smashed that with the sign ... It might be an idea to stop hitting your friends with hard heavy objects now before someone gets hurt. I think that the 3 braincells that you own between you should be put to work doing something more useful!"
