Things you'd like to say, but can't

Ever feel that speaking your mind would cause more problems than it would solve? Want to speak it anyway? Here's a place to do it. I'll start.

I know you're the boss, but please don't turn up at the start of a shift and start trying to run things. Since I've been called out here I have got everyone working to a system and we are back on programme. When you turn up you disrupt the shift and have divers working on the wrong task and in the wrong place. It means we have to work harder to catch up.

Let me run the site while you stay in the hotel or attend meetings.

I give you a briefing sheet for meetings. All you have to do is read it out loud. You can then go back to your hotel.

Finally, working hours are 7 to 7. If people are around at 6 it is because they want to check e-mails and sort their lives out, speak to loved ones etc before they go to work for a night. Don't start trying to set them to work, it means I have to spend several hours listening to them bitching and trying to get them back into the right frame of mind.

Just say what I say, much quicker.

So my bully of a manager who ive never got on with for 2 years decided to pull a fast one and quit his job without telling any of his staff. He's been moaning for sometime about how the company wont pay his full salary because his department is in such a bad state. Now he's left all of the assistant managers who were helping him out are in the poop. Good riddance to bad rubbish and i honestly feel sorry for the employees at the new company he's now working for as they will now need to put up with him.

If he called to tell me he was leaving, i would have given him a few choice words before his departure

Put aside your own opinions on smoking, we all know its bad for you..even my wife who partakes....
But sit outside the hotel on tables provided, with ashtrays, among maybe 10 smokers and start turning your nose up as you sit next to our table, then mutter and move off further up the hotel frontage....don't expect any sympathy, go sit where the non smokers do.
Or put impolitely, feck off, you wouldnt go sit in the smoking area in a pub back home then start moaning, so why do it here ?
That's a personal hatred of mine, we smokers have to go there so why do these 'tutters' try to move in when the sun is shining, you don't see em when it's persisting it down.

To the lady who just said "Pavement"

Yes I know but I'm not cycling just sitting here stationary right next to the kerb with at least 10 feet of empty space for you to walk past, so why walk into me on purpose and say that? I saw you approach from far away and you saw me. I would have taken up more space had I been standing next to my bike but you still had plenty of room to walk sensibly.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
