Like @gavroche in his opening post, I've lost interest in football. I still watch match highlights on my laptop, but I hardly go to Accrington Stanley these days to watch a live 90 plus minutes of boredom, probably about 3 or 4 times a season just to show my face and say I've been.
I used to stand there thinking "Why am I here, what is the point of this"! It's not because Accy are in the bottom division of the Football League and not doing too well in that division, because If someone was to say offer me a free ticket to watch a top Premier League match I'd thank them but decline the offer, knowing I'd be sat, not stood there thinking "Why am I here, what is the point of this"!

Nope, if it's what I think you are alluding to there is still a good amount of interest and subsequent fun in this house.
I find pretty much nothing interests or excites me any more.
Most "interests" seem distorted, manipulated, diluted, corrupted for profit. Nothing in sincere any more; everything is over-priced and warped to suit a commercial model.
As I get older I become more concerned with just trying to stay on top of the basics of life and seek satisfaction from best-handling the necessary and mundane rather than looking towards superfluous, tertiary activities.
I find little reward in things done just for the sake of it, and much more in things that have practical value. Self-improvement both physically and mentally is really the only thing that touts a modacum of motivation..

As a kid I was mad keen on football, Leeds United for some reason, as a youth I was keenly interested in physics, particle physics, astrophysics, that sort of thing. Have no interest in either now.

Beyond “basic need”, material possessions in general have lost their allure.
Houses, gardens and cars are an ongoing maintenance headache and how much unnecessary clutter seems to get accumulated over the years made worse by society’s commercially driven obsession with giving unwanted gifts.
