There's a guy on one of the XC70 fb pages who owns the car in question bought from Matt in Romiley. I think he has artistic licence on some of his costings....recently he had a Volvo he made a video on and the gearbox was £120 for a service/oil change....that sounds like pie in the sky.

The transmission oil is major expensive. He might get a single sump sump for that, but it's a largely pointless exercise most of the old fluid would still be in the box.

7 years ago I paid £160 at an indy for a gearbox service.

After around 200miles it settled down and solved the very loud clunk the gearbox made when going into first when coming to a stop.:becool:

When they have new oil they're supposed to run an adaption program on the box, but they will self adapt over a few hundred miles or so which fits perfectly with your experience.

Nicely ‘woody-fied’, with brown mudflaps too!

Herr Von Volvo would be turning in his grave if he really existed and were dead!

My mate has just bought a 2018 S90 (I think) 2.0 diesel. Sure its an S90, its like the size of a Skoda Superb. It's a very nice looking car, inside and out. He says he's a bit dubious as he reckons that it was made in China, but didn't know what else to get as he didn't fancy a Superb as he'd had a bad experience with a VAG car in the past. Don't think the China thing would put me off these days. Looks a bit more upmarket than a Superb, nice looking thing.
