One of three XC70s near me
This is the newest, in terms of how long it’s been there
It’s replaced (I presume..) a ‘MB’ ‘W124’ series estate
View attachment 737561
This one now has some 'compass' stylised decals on it, on the 'rear wings'
I saw it parked up somewhere else a few days ago, with another (silver) XC70 less than 20 yards away

From the recent carpet change, the volume of crap(dirt, screws, glass and retaining clips) in the footwell was surprising, I’m almost tempted to lift the rest of the carpets to clean the car out….

Probably. I'm something of a Volvo blue bore, I fear ☺️

Me too.

Ours is now carcoon'd up until the spring.

I've binnedmoff my VOC membership. Quite frankly I'm sick to the back teeth of them whinging about eleftric cars in the club magazine. Even if one agrees with them (I don't) it's just irrelevant, annoying, and a waste of column inches paid for by members that could have been used for something more interesting.

I'm a fully paid up member or so my partner would say. The inlaws have moved over to Volvo ownership, my eldest son wants a V40(if they come with a heated windscreen as he has in his Fiesta).
I have a hankering for a 940 but the mpg would make me cry and I wouldn't trust public transport(my village is very well serviced by it) for commuting to reduce the bills to accommodate a 940.
That said.....if we have 940 owners on here please feel free to post and tag me, I need convincing my car is tosh and I need to swap it
@Drago I honestly don't see the point of arguing the toss about EV's, each to their own. The only argument you'd get from me is they're only a viable fit for some.

They'd waste an entire page bleating about them and trotting out scientifically illiterate nonsense verging on climate denial. We d
con't dare, we wanted to read interesting stuff about Volvos (well, I did.)

It's the VOC, not the moaning like feck club.

I've just driven into Wakefield, in order to exchange a propane bottle, for SWMBO to take to the caravan this weekens
As I approached the bottle supplier, there was a nice (dark blue) XC70 parked by a snack van
Sorry no photograph (unless I look at the SD card for the dash-cam)

It was on Calder Vale, which is between KirrkGate (railway) station, & Wakefield Bridge (over the River Calder)
