Perhaps they’ve left room to pull alongside in their mobility scooter ?
Because all physically challenged people who can’t walk: still have to drive you know……🙄

I take your point but unlikely anyone carries a mobility scooter in a Beetle.

After eight years without a car I’ve treated myself to a V90.

After a lot less than 3 years, daughter has decided she wants a new car
Back in November 2020, it was a case of 'best thing since sliced whatever' & "I need this car!"
(Mercedes-Benz A-Class AMG-Line... I had to look it up)

Apparantly, SWMBO & her are planning on going to look at a XC40 at the weekend, & “Just Looking!"
In the past, I've seen SWMBO go in for a service (car, not her!), or to simply ask something & tell me she'd bought a new car! (this was when we had Uno's & Punto's)

I once went in to buy a tank bag and emerged with a Suzuki GSXR1100 and some magic beans.

I went looking for a car for my sister and came home with a mk1 MR2.

It seems like it won't be a XC40 (I did consider pressing for a Kamiq, or Karoq)
I did have thoughts that I'd pull up in the Kodiaq, & the salesman would be trying (in vain) to talk me into a XC90?
We did look at the Puma, a Fiesta in another body, I understand?
SWMBO refused to look at a Kuga, due to the name, I have no idea why

Apparantly, whilst I was caravan delivering this afternoon, daughter went to test a Kia Sportage, or maybe a Hyundai Tuscon (I know she'd looked at both)

I had one on loan for a day whilst our bus was in and I must confess I struggled to see the point - small, super-high load area, not very comfy. Nicely finished though, as Volvos are nowadays. Oh yes, hateful touch screen too.

Tucson's a good shout in middle hybrid flavour.
