Its the calm before the over hyped storm here at the moment
Can we quote you on that, should it arrive?

Bloody awful here in Dunbar. Just home and a usually 35min ride took 57 (a few steep climbs into the wind) Storm Brendan really hitting now. Howling wind and battering rain.

Blowing a hoolie all day that combined with low pressure and spring tides resulted in my neighbours front lawns being ankle deep in salt water.
Fortunately the clothes poles had been taken to higher ground before hand.

Started clear and dry, light rain started just after 04:00(stopped two hours later).

Overcast all day, rain at 16:15. Now stopped, with broken cloud. Even saw the moon rise.

My nocturnal repairs to the shed roof have survived the night but there's still a yellow warning for wind today, and another for rain.

Snorri the west wind blows overhead but forces the tide up the outside of Mull and into the Sound. An easterly forces the tide up the Sound but brings waves into the bay. A Northerly is really bad. The last really big surge was in February 1973 tho’ there have been other lesser ones since.
