right i have made a decision, which might affect me continuing here on CC.i have decided to give up chocolate and cake.i was wondering if this will be well received by the masses on CC.i believe it will do me good.Last week i ate too many belgian buns, plus a packet of allsorts and two bars of chocolate, not on the same day,but two night running i had a sort of warm flush during the night. My brain went in to overdrive and thought night sweats.then i thought um maybe too much sugar.Last night i was ok.So i have decided to go nuts for snacks.healthier idea.see how i get on.

Good luck - it will be good for you if you manage it!

I am told it is just a matter of will power - not sure about that as I have never suceeded!!

My Coeliac problems means that I no longer have problems with cakes and buns
there are GF versions - but a lot of them are rubbish and just not tempting
but chocolate is fine - so, in my mind, I am allowed as much chocolate as I can cram in my gob!!!

and that is the problem - eating mor ehealthy stuff is OK - just don;t eat loads of it just because "it is allowed"

anyway - good luck with the change -!

I have given them up apart from when bike riding, anything in the cafe is fair game when cycling.

Strange you should say that.
I very rarely eat sweets or chocolate but somebody gave me a box of Cadurys Roses and yesterday I ate 3 of them. A bit sickly and it will be a while before I have any more but strangely enjoyable.
I hope you haven't passed your chocoholicism on to me.

I thought you scraped them every 6 months ?

I thought they were sent to Sellafield for reprocessing???

Good luck with your efforts!

I have several times made similar resolutions, never succeeded.

Mrs @BoldonLad can achieve these things, but, not me. There was an occasion when I bought her an enormous bag of Maltesers. In her usual way, she opened the bag, ate about three maltesers, then, tried to reseal the bag, using the provided reseal mechanism. She then complained that the reseal mechanism didn't work. I patiently pointed out to her that she was probably the only person in the world who had ever attempted to reseal a bag of Maltesers, so, the mechanism had never been tested, the done thing is, once you open the bag, you eat the lot!

My wife would happily eat a box of Maltesers.I would be happy with 2 or 3 of them (thats individual ones, not boxes).

I've been to quite a few games at the new stadium, but inside is so plush.
From the changing rooms, to the corporate restaurant which has a Michelin starred chef but comes at a price. £160.000 for a three year package for 2 people, and there is a waiting list!
