That’s how I was brought up, but its a different world now, I can’t help, helping out my kids.

I'm sure my parents would have loved to help me out
but mostly I didn;t need it
and when I did I HATED that I needed it

and I think my Dad knew that I hated it and often talked my Mum out of helping too much

although they did help out with the dog from time to time if I was working late - when they did the supply of biscuits did seem to drop a bit more than usual!

Thoughts after 2 years? If you can afford it and have plenty of hobbies/interests then do it ASAP!
If you can't afford it and/or expect to be watching daytime TV then don't bother.

A cloudy start to the day here.
My son is coming round shortly and then we are going to the Spurs stadium for the full tour. It's my birthday present from him.

Morning all, off to Skeggy shortly to fix dents in at least 9 cars, I am only doing two or three days on the road working nowadays and I can feel that dropping as I spend even more time in Liverpool. I have another business that brings in a nice steady income along with pensions and investments I have no financial need to work, even less so if I moved in with Justine as we would be quite a well of couple. I thought I would work until I dropped, but this winter has changed that idea, it seems to have been a tough one for me.

A nasty anniversary today for me, one year since Pam died, that is the first time I have been able to write that word. Take care everyone.

Good morning from a chillier Dorset. The kitchen nears completion with the worktops being fitted today which will give us our sink back. Had lunch in spoons yesterday, tried the veggie version of the " Korean bowl ". It came with fresh red chillies which were very fiery. My lips went numb and I felt I must look like one of those ladies who have had their lips plumped 🤔. On the plus side I cooled them down with a second pint of beer 🍺🍺.
Must pop round to the shop as the biscuit barrel has been depleted.
