Weather must be on the up, a Chinook has just gone over with a load of Marines going for their Wednesday swim in the sea. I suppose diving from the top board at the swimming pool must be a doddle after you've jumped into the sea from that high up.

Back from the dentist having had the final fit. Next Thursday I get my new gnashers.
TBH it really makes me gag, I just hope I get used to it

My dentist put up a post of Facebook looking for a new receptionist and I commented asking if they had any new dentists yet. They must have read it and phoned just now saying they have a new NHS dentist and I can get in in March. That’s good. I was worried I was going to end up going private if they didn’t get any one.

As a young man growing up in Birmingham you could just pop into the Dental Hospital and get sorted at short notice. The downside being that as the dentists you saw were all trainees, being supervised by qualified dentists you had to take pot luck and hope that you didn't end up being someones first real patient.

In our house it is illegal for a man to eat the last biscuit.............
