Last of those delicious hot dogs for lunch.

Not had a hot dog since the 60s when we bought them from the guys on the pavement. Sauce, mustard and loads of disgusting watery onion. Surprisingly I am still alive.

Reduced visibility to below 200 yards at one stage.
A very heavy snowfall started at home ten minutes after I left for my ride. My wife considered phoning me to warn very bad weather was on the way. Apart from one minute of hail we had clear blue skies and sunshine for 50+ miles......bugger of a headwind though. Sunshine on the righteous and all that.......

Mrs P went to east Lancs. You'll know the Grane Road? She said that was very bad.

Yum
I always loved the burger vans (etc) at laybys on the main roads
great food and I never got ill from them
I read somewhere that they tended to be very clean because they we an easy target for the food inspectors and so got into the habit of making sure they would always pass easily
and a lot of them had the side door open in winter so everyone could see in - soa filthy floor or worktop was in full view of the customers

and they were small so easy to clean
