Getting old but not past it

Is it spring already? I am only asking because Mrs G has decided to start decorating the "junk " room. She has stripped it bare, washed the skirting boards and window ledge and bought some paint.
I have also been told to get the Polyfilla ready to fill a few holes and paint the ceiling tomorrow. No doubt the walls and skirtings will be for Sunday.
That wasn't part of my plan for the weekend.

Another 5 mile wander done. It was quite pleasant until the last twenty minutes when the sun was dropping and the cold coming down again. Nice to get back in and have a cuppa and drape my fleecy blanket over my knees.

Wish I could drape a fleecy blanket over us Alfie the Coker would drag it off in a flash.⚡⚡

Another reasonably slow paced day, had to work for a couple of hours this morning but as we work for ourselves I never resent it, I enjoy working with Mrs Gunk, we compliment each other well, so we are very lucky and a usual week is only about 15-20 hours). Anyway home now, house to myself, I’ve cooked a Chicken and Chorizo traybake for this evening, now got my feet up, fire lit and Kate Bush, The Whole Story album playing on the stereo (remember those?)

Girls are in town drinking cocktails, no idea where master Gunk is, but full chaos will return soon I’m sure.

A tremendous day out in Weymouth and a very scenic journey back by train through Casterbridge.
Fortunately tha train arrived just in time to catch my bus home. Unfortunately I bumped into an old friend who forced me to stay on my bus until we reached the local pub 🍺🍺.
A view from my bus stop:
