A slight problem
Basic information, I have been up much of the night with a bad stomach.
Just crawled out of bed and my daughter (not knowing my plight) has brought me a large cooked breakfast.
I have done my best and don't want to hurt her feelings but really cannot finish it.
I will have to sneak it into the bin without her knowing.
Sometimes you just can't win.

Does she have a dog? If so sneak it to him or her.

Been busy made 8 individual apple pies, should have been 9 but couldn't find the base for one of them
and made some scones too.
Mushrooms on toast for lunch
we now have 2c here.

Still minus 3 at 11am here according to the report from the nearest weather station. I wandered up to the Co-op for a few things and it felt very raw. Not sure I’ll be back out.

They have 2 dogs but I don't think they eat fried egg, baked beans and mushrooms oh and half a slice of toast.

In the shade its still frozen especially at the bottom of the drive. Hopefully tomorrow will see thr last of it go.

So would Millie. She was a thief if you didn’t watch her. Still makes me laugh thinking about her scoffing a whole steak pie that was meant for our tea over at dads.

I still don’t know why Kirsty put the pie through in the front room to defrost. Stupidly left it on the coffee table. I think she thought she was losing her marbles when she went to get it later.

I found a paper bag containg a toasted crust of bread in the fridge yesterday. Then I remembered I'd cooked too much toast ( is that really possible? ) the day previously but had felt full up, and not wanting to waste food had put it in the fridge. Anyway, I didn't wait to heat it up, just scoffed it down cold, it tasted really good. I might do this again.

Still 0 degrees here in a non tropical Coventry and very misty too. Just been out for a walk and to pick up some croissants and some mince . God it felt raw , don’t think I am doing back out again 😀
I somehow don’t think I will be sailing tomorrow either as I suspect the reservoir will be frozen .

I wouldnt bet against it . If one of them is a brown Labrador it would probably eat the plate too. 😂

Decades ago, probably 5, I went home for a big family party. Possibly my sister's 18th. I took my dog, a collie alsatian cross, with me. My mother had made all the food. She had left all the deserts, cakes etc. on the kitchen work surface. Laddie, my dog, had wandered in and taken a couple of bites out of each, leaving them still in place on the worktop!! 🤣
