Good morning all. It's very cold out there, -3⁰c with a thick frost. The cats have refused to go out.
Some friends are calling in at lunchtime, so I'm cooking a pot of vegetable soup, but I need to go out and buy some crusty bread.
Then our son is calling in on his way to the Spurs game so I expect him to want some tea before he goes. I'll do some kind of pasta dish.
Other than that all the normal stuff to do.

Zero degrees according to the weather forecast. I'm off to JL later, armed with my tape measure. We are researching Fridge Freezers and Mrs Tkk particularly likes an AEG one. The measurements on the JL website doesn't match the blurb on the AEG site so there’s only one way to be sure. I spoke with an ex work colleague who works for a local electrical goods supplier and he was able to give me a " heads up " about brands to avoid.
Must get some exercise first, I’ve noticed my resting heart rate is slowly creeping up due to being more inactive.

Morning all
Off out for a walk on the Quantocks this morning and then lunching at the White Horse in Washford.
Everyone keep your Quantocks covered till Dirk has passed by.
Sounds painful doesn't it.

Chilly walk done. Another couple of really cold days to cope with before it starts to get a bit milder. The cold is really getting to me this year. I must be getting old!
