Talking of Fat Balls...

What is it with those goddamned lids?

So hard to get off. Just cut a finger smashing my way in to a new tub.

No way could I lever it off. :cursing:

Very chilly coastal walk from Blue Anchor to Dunster beach and now sitting by the fire in the White Horse. Having a pint of Otter ale and waiting for my liver and bacon to arrive. :hungry:

:hello: Afternoon, my printer is still sick  been looking at new ones
and we are suppose to be having sleet for the rest of the day, not seen any as yet.

I had/have an Epson Inkjet, forgot the model, but, it is one of the "eco tank" series. It may be OK if it were in regular use, but, for my occasional printing needs, it is useless. Heads need cleaning continually.

I bit the bullet and bought a Laser Printer:

Brother DCP-L3520CDW 3-in-1 Colour Wireless LED Printer |Print, copy & scan| USB 2.0 | A4|UK Plug

to be exact, it is an LED printer, rather than a Laser printer.

it was £268, off Amazon.

It was easy to set up on my wifi, and, connect to my MacBook Pro. It took about 45 minutes, and most of that was getting it out of the packaging!

I am very happy with it.

Damp piece of kitchen roll up against the printheads and leave in place until all four colours run free.

What make/model of printer?

Inkjet printers are a pain if they are only used occaisionally and hence left unused for months on end
When I worked in a school I refused to order any and insisted on laser printers if someone relaly needed one and couldn;t use the main printers

I got fed up throwing out fairly new printer because the teacher had put them in a cupboard over the summer for safety - any IT technician who has worked in a school knows that teachers don;t listen to advise (I am an exception and am perfect - and anything the IT Technician at Rhyl says is to be ignored!!!!)

We hardly ever use our printer - but we have a B&W laser which has lasted several years with no problems

Crazy. You break the seal but the damn thing will not come off.
I had the same problem with a container/pot of Aldi soup yesterday. I had to get a pair of pliers to rip the lid off.

Just come back from the High Street to get a parcel for SWMBO
also tried on some new jeans - tried 34 inch waist and they fitted!!!

I used to be 34 when I was younger
I was the same size in trousers from the early 80s until about 20 years ago when I went up to 36

I did have some flared jeans (cool or WHAT!!!) that I originally bought in the 70s
they were 32 inch waist - but in those days the waist was round you hips - but they still fitted
me
Only wore them tucked into wellies so the flares coundn't be seen - for obvious reasons
since then I have been the same size except for a couple of years ago when I had to resort to 38 for a while

OK they were from M&S so the sizing may be a bit generous but they are not in a any way tight!

so I celebrated with a scone in the cafe
