Good morning. I popped outside to put the milk bottles out. Very still, clear skies and a hard frost. Forecast for 0⁰ at 12.00 and -1⁰ by 4.00pm. BRRRRR.

Today I must get the house clean (it's dusty), iron and shop. A session with my PT this afternoon, probably including the New Year weigh in....😱 and I must sign up for the local council gym on my way home.

Yesterday I had a plan. It was going well. Then at 11.00 #3 son calls. "Just thought we'd pop over to see you"......"Your Dad wants to watch Rovers at 3.00"......"OK. We'll set off now"

On arrival it became clear the kids were bored to tears. Let's go and play with Granddad. This wasn't what Granddad needed. At 3.10 they left. Switched on telly, apps won't load so I can't get the footie. Eventually found Sky Sports on the laptop. I don't think Sky could make their website more complicated if they tried. Customer friendly? Pah! Checked the magic box at half-time. It's dead. Watched second half and then spent two hours trying to fix the dead magic box. Failed. The Amazon Firestick isn't playing fair either.

I now need a new magic box and don't really know where to begin. This is not good. I've half a mind to look at a new telly. These seem to do magic as well.

Good morning from a chilly Dorset. Mrs Tkk has physio today, and the black bin is due to be emptied. Just had our home insurance renewal notification from eNationwide and it has almost doubled despite never having made a claim. Time to shop around I think.
Will venture forth later but be careful of my footing as the pavement looks a bit sparkly. Have a peaceful day folks

Riverside trail walked. I checked out where I fell yesterday and there is a stone protruding on the path. Only about three quarters of an inch but that’s all it takes for me to catch a toe these days. When that path was first laid many years ago it was nice and smooth, but over the years the erosion by weather and footfall have worn away much of the upper surface so there’s more and more of the base layer poking through.

It’s very cold but gorgeous here. Sun has just appeared.
